Jelena Petrovic

Jelena is Principal Enterprise Fellow and Associate Professor at the University of Southampton, and Chair of the CIPD SW London Branch. She has over 25 years of experience in teaching, research and consultancy in the UK and internationally, including 20 years of programme management experience in the UK higher education setting.
Jelena’s research expertise is in strategic leadership, governance and expatriate (strategic international HR) management. She received the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and Emerald Publishing Group award for her PhD in Strategic Leadership and Governance from Cranfield University. She was also awarded a Foreign and Commonwealth Office Chevening Scholarship for her Masters in HRM at the University of Surrey.
Jelena has always been interested in transforming knowledge and ideas into action. She is actively engaged in industry collaborations and developing partnerships through design and delivery of executive development programmes, consultancy and management Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (mKTPs). She has conducted research for Mercer (ORC Worldwide), the CIPD, the Guardian, and BT, and designed and delivered executive development programmes for organisations such as Volvo Cars, the NHS, and Park Plaza Hotels.
